Aroma recovery system

Aroma recovery system

The vegetal steam, which is extracted from the whole juice, is rich in typical aromas from the fresh fruit. There are distinct phases of the aroma and all of them are more volatile than the water.

The most volatile aromas are lost with non-condensable gases while the less volatile gases are partially lost with vegetal condensate. By this reason the double phase system recovers the aromas in both phases, each one with a particular composition.

Part of vegetal steam and all non-condensable gases that come from the deaerator are driven to the condensation and re-evaporation by vacuum column, which separates vegetal steam from the aromas. Then the aromas are driven to a second condensation and re-evaporation column by separating the less volatile aromas from the heaviest ones. The most volatile aromas are driven to a third column, interconnected strait to a vacuum pump with a liquid ring.

The system can be installed in NFC juice lines or lines for the production of concentrate, The first option enables to obtain aromas with better quality. The aroma can be reincorporated to the final juice or sold separately.
